Eminess Technologies is a global, U.S. based technology company that specializes in the manufacture and distribution of highly specialized electronic materials. We are a multi-site, internationally focused organization that needs a motivated, experienced FIELD SALES APPLICATION ENGINEER (m/f 100%) to join our Swiss Team. This position is a full-time position located in our Frauenfeld regional office.

Job Responsibilities
New Business Development:

  • Develop new business opportunities / generate potential new customers
  • Leverage new business at existing customers
  • Understand technical requirements and opportunities within the accounts. This will involve a dynamic plan as the needs and requirements are anticipated to change.
  • Coordinate demos and evaluations. The FAE will be solely accountable, or will work along with other groups such as Technical Support and R&D, depending on the complexity of the opportunity.
  • Promote Eminess products and secure trials of new materials and support existing products sales.
  • Coordinate with Technical Support and R&D for product roll-outs and training at customers on new products.
Sustaining Engagement and Technical Issue Resolution:
  • Develop understanding and expertise on customer processes and the use of the products (Eminess and competitive)
  • Develop and maintain at all levels of customers organization
  • Develop customer improvement plans for specific new requests or projects within EMEA territory
  • Work with customers on process improvement and optimization to meet goals of customer and protect Eminess’ market share
  • Develop strong relationships with leading market influencers (e.g. OEM's, Customers, Universities, R&D Institutes, Associations)
  • Provide technical issue resolution, working with Account Management, Technical Service, R&D and Quality Control


  • Technical/Engineering/Chemical bachelor degree or equivalent background
  • Minimum 5 years process development/customer engagement experiences
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills; ability to give detailed technical presentations to all audiences
  • Understanding of complex processes; Optics or Electronic Materials industry background preferred
  • Able to work both in team environment as well as independently
  • Willing to travel. The job will include travel within the defined region as well as potentially other areas within EMEA as needed. Travel requirement is expected to be 50%.
  • Developed understanding of the use of statistics, data analysis and technical reporting is preferred.
  • Language fluency in German, English and French
