The AO Foundation is a medically guided, not-for-profit organization led by an international group of surgeons specialized in the treatment of trauma and disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Founded in 1958 by 13 visionary surgeons, AO fosters one of the most extensive networks of currently more than 19,000 surgeons, operating room personnel, and scientists in over 100 countries. Within our Communications & Events department (the AO's internal service provider for communication and event services), we are looking for a highly-motivated event specialist to be part of our events team in our office in Davos.
Project Manager Events In this role you will be required to: Plan, organize and execute the AO Foundation's flagship educational event, the Davos Courses Manage logistics (hotels, venue, catering, course materials, transport, AV, IT), side events, contracting, procurement activities, operations, schedules and production Oversee budgeting process Develop all Davos Courses related communication activities/websites Build and implement a marketing and promotion campaign Create, implement and manage a new sponsorship program Establish relationships with key stakeholders, educating them, managing expectations and utilizing team expertise where needed Capture and understand stakeholder's objectives and requirements; offer appropriate solutions, advise on how to maximize participants satisfaction and engagement experience Manage all freelancers and their requirements including HR and finance liaison, staff schedule, briefing, and final handover. Strategic planning and optimization of the Davos Courses event Support a variety of other AO events throughout the year as required To master this challenge, you have A Bachelor or Masters degree A minimum of five years professional event manager experience in similar positions, both client and/or agency side experience acceptable Proven experience of producing complex events with multiple stakeholders Complex event problem-solving skills Excellent influencing and networking skills Good leadership skills for leading event teams on site Project and process planning and management skills Strong communication skills in both English and German (written and oral) Familiarity within a cross-cultural/cross-discipline working environment Proven service orientation and service mentality Excellent organizational skills (high detail orientation) High adaptability, flexibility and attention to detail Advanced computer skills, MS Office, and readiness to learn and apply new tools We offer
