Based in Switzerland, HUBER+SUHNER develops and manufactures radio frequency, fiber optics and low frequency solutions for communication, transportation and industrial markets. Your tasks You are responsible for the development of our innovative RF mm-wave Antennas and system products, ranging from classical to mm-wave frequencies. Your tasks as RF Antenna System Engineer range from system analysis, concept creation to final release for production, including choice of components, materials, technology, manufacturing and testing processes. In the context of these product development efforts you will work in close collaboration with our mechanical engineering specialists and the development and industrialization team of other departments, being responsible of work-packages or by leading full projects. Besides the interaction with internal experts you will collaborate closely with suppliers, universities and institutes. Thus, you will be responsible for bringing in new ideas and technologies from research institutions for our next generation of innovative RF system & Antenna products. Finally, you are also responsible for the technical customer interface. This includes clarification and discussion of technical customer inquiries, discovery & understanding the real customer needs & pains. Customer visits and proactive customer relationship are also part of the expected activities. Your profile Ideally you have a technical degree in electrical engineering (ETH/FH) with a major in Radio Frequency techniques/physics and preferably you have several years of experience in a similar Senior position. You have advanced and detailed knowledge of Radio system (and related requirement for different communication protocols) and board level circuit design (RX, TX, VCO, PLL, Power Amplifiers, Low Noise Amplifier). Passive Inter-modulation (OIM), EMC and EMI knowledge including their mitigation techniques are a plus. Good knowledge of the CAD tools for 3D field simulations would be an asset (HFSS, CST). You communicate and plan in a professional and systematic way and you are able to meet timelines and cost-efficiency goals. Your ability to drive, co-ordinate and lead projects and your customer-oriented thinking will be the basis of your professional success. As part of a global team you convincingly communicate very well in English and German. Leadership skills (activities, people) will be considered a plus.
