Team Leader – Smart Systems (100%) The manufacture of a high-end microchip requires over 1000 production steps. Vacuum valves are considered to be a critical component as they are in proximity to the semiconductor wafer and have impact on the process performance. Semiconductor fabs like Intel, Samsung or TSMC have increasing expectations to productivity and production yield. These fabs are increasingly using data generated along the manufacturing process to improve production performance. Smart, connected vacuum components are required for smart semiconductor manufacturing fabs enabling predictive maintenance, increasing performance and productivity. To develop the required smart valve technology we are looking for a visionary, experienced team leader to act as a central person between market demands and technology development in terms of sensors, algorithms, motion control and connected systems. You will lead a team of interdisciplinary specialists, define projects and work packages, execute the project roadmaps as well as report results to the management team. In addition, you will lead collaborations with our external partners. In addition your responsibilities are: * Management of a technology development of cross-functional team (recruiting, training, coaching, capacity handling…) * Assignment, technical lead and evaluation of development work as well as supporting project teams with in-depth technical expertise (e.g. Systems architecture engineering) * Development and implementation of policies, standards and procedures for the corporate engineering teams (e.g FW architecture development, Data Science & Algorithms) * Supporting Core Technology management in the development of the technology portfolio roadmap and assessment of feasible technologies/sensors. * Analyzing technology and resource needs based on market inputs, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects Your competences * Engineering Degree (PhD or MSc) in computer science, systems engineering, electronics, or mechatronics * Proven track record and technology leadership in management of complex projects (embedded systems, mechatronic systems linked with FW development, motion control) with minimum >5years experience (10y preferred) in an international acting company * Knowledge of vacuum sensors, optical systems and their applications in vacuum processing is advantageous. * Previous experience in leading cross functional teams (sensors, HW, FW developers) is preferred * Hands on, systematic approach, creative thinker with problem solving skills and team spirit
